I've used Paytient at my Vet for me new puppy. The insurance has an initial deductible that I placed on the card.

The application process was pretty quick and I was able to use the card right away with a virtual number. I choose my own payment terms to be just 9 months of payments!

ToniAnne C. - Jan '24

I decided to get contacts and glasses, so I used the card to help with the added costs to also get contacts that my insurance didn't cover. I avoided this in the past due to having to pay the extra expenses.

"Paytient was a blessing to me. I had been without my glasses for five months because they are expensive, and then I remembered I had that card. It covered the cost of my glasses and the cost of the exam at a time when money is tight."

Still have questions?
We've got the answers.

How does the Paytient Card work?

Say you visit an ENT doctor for a sinus infection that won’t go away, and you leave with a $150 bill. You can split that charge into 10 payments of $15 — or five payments of $30. For each transaction, you’ll pick an interest-free payment plan that fits your budget.

Does Paytient Card work for previous medical bills?

Yes. An HPA can cover bills still owed to providers, as long as they are not being collected by a different party.

Can Paytient Card be used for family members/dependents?

Sure! HPAs cover care costs for members as well as their loved ones.

How does an HPA work with an HAS or FSA?

Using your HSA and FSA cards to repay your Paytient balance are great ways to capitalize on tax advantages. You can add your HSA or FSA card as a payment method in your Paytient account and then use them to cover any qualifying expenses. HSA and FSA accounts cannot be used to pay for veterinary expenses. Please refer to the IRS website to determine whether transactions qualify as HSA/FSA expenses — and remember to always keep your receipts!

Is a credit check required?

No. Paytient does not perform a check credit or pull credit scores before opening an HPA. We ask employees to self-report income and expenses during onboarding before we extend credit to ensure we lend responsibly and comply with federal and state lending regulations. Some users may not be able to access the service due to regulatory reasons.

Can members adjust their payment plans?

Paytient understands circumstances change. Their support team is happy to adjust member payment plans to better fit their budgets. Members can do so by reaching out in the app or by emailing hello@paytient.com for assistance.
